... Some things don't need to be increased in FPS, this looks like it's on fastforward
Maybe it's just me and my pleb eyes but can't really see any significant difference. Either way Blizz, thank the guy, pay him some monies or stuff and implement the vids into the game. Case closed.
The Youtuber "Upscale" does a better job :/For those who wanna see it : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC33rC3GO1UZFAkMcCCwjyWg
Pandaria was fun to watch.
Nothing special. Just adjustment for fps and higher resolution. If he would create for example cinematic from classic or TBC with the details and graphic from latest expansions that would be true remaster which could be impressive.
The last one isn't the expansion cinematic but another one they released later. The one that is the cinematic for the expansion is the one where Sylvanas assaults ICC and defeats Bolvar. Still these look good, but the increase in framerate does seem to make them look off. The movements are not as natural like someone above said it looks like the videos in in fast forward.
This isn't a remaster. A remaster by definition takes the original source and improves upon it. For example a remaster of Titanic on BluRay is a real remaster. The film sources (lossless) are housed at the studio and taken by a production team to be enhanced/regraded and exported at set qualities for distribution mediums and consumer consumption (lossy). The same thing is done to music scores. The films in the game or uploaded on YouTube are not masters. They are compressed (lossy) versions. All this person has done, as the rest of them, is take a compressed video and upscaled it with some software. Anyone can do this. Topaz Labs, Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve, etc. are all options. Also YouTube re-encodes it again to their AVC and VP9 rates So quality is lost on upload.Additionally, 48 is an odd framerate. Likely because it's just 24fps doubled and then normalized to not look weird. Which it already does. Part of the appeal of films is the cinematic look. This is achieved with 23.9/24/25 fps. In some cases 29.9/30 fps works too. Inserting additional frames ruins it. Which explains why at 59s, there is a frame tear.If you want a remaster, Blizzard needs to release them. They have all the original media.
17 years dude and still its the best game ever
Thoroughly enjoyed that. Thank you SnazzyAl. The only fast piece was the Night Elf at the beginning that seemed a bit off as it seemed blurred. The rest was really great.
Last one looks better than the garbage with Sylvanass.
Am I the only one surprised that after 8 expansions there’s only 29 minutes of cutscenes? I was expecting a couple hours or so.
Just like anime fight scenes on youtube people really need to learn that doubling framerates isn't going to make it a better viewing experience
REALLY should have been Upscale that y'all did this for. WAY better...
Thank you for making me aware of this one! You’re right, it’s MUCH better!
They are using high quality cinematics since WOTLK. This "hurr durr 8k rEsS" generation needs to be put into a leash
I think if it was kept at 30 but at 4k resolution it would be a tiny bit better. He did a great job though!
