Multiplayer discouraged in an MMO. This change is horrible.
While this seems worse, I do want to play devil's advocate as to an issue this might only accidentally address: getting phased during combat. Of course it's possible this doesn't fix it, which would be hilarious.MMOhwait,youseewecantactuallyplaytogetheruntilweallgobacktotown.
Another thing this cause an issue with is people that get DC'ed often. When log back on the entire group has to go back to a Sanctuary. This will break pug groups because multi-boxers will just start off in sanctuary and go from there. They changed it. https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/grouping-in-the-shadowlands/736070
If only they'd keep on with the Flight master's Whistle in SL... They remove it from being used in there AND making you 'waste' even more time on travels with this?I really hope that is Unnintended...
Not a good game design. Some WQs do not pop up a LFG icon until the boss spawns and you are within range. This will destroy the party system for many WQ bosses or quest bosses in general. In SL we cannot fly yet, so this means we will need to spend gold flying somewhere and spend gold flying back. Not sure if this was meant to be a gold sink, but it could have an effect on the gold spend rate in SL. I got use to using Blizzards design for quick grouping for open world content, now I'm going to skip a lot of content because it's working as intended.
I would not care if this was a change that was made to mitigate how the LFG tool trivializes world quests. HOWEVER, it becomes a serious problem when I can't group up with ONE close friend I want to level with, because neither of us thought to fly all the way back to Oribos and then back to Bastion just to be on the "correct shard". These kind of changes should not affect people like me, and yet I spent an entire day wondering why my close friend was phased before giving up and logging out for the day.
Good luck trying to kill a BFA world boss now.
JFC I hate Blizzard's recent MO. It's like they think making the game more *obnoxious* to play is somehow a good thing.
