The other method they could take to invigorate classic is adding additional bosses and hard modes, like they did with RuneScape. Of course, there's no motivation to do them if they don't drop superior loot and purists will complain that it's not true to classic to have gear superior to T3, so it's a gamble.
I'm sure Blizzard will add every xpack over again. Lets just hope it's seperate from one another, don't think people want their Classic account ruined.
I'm confused. Is the plan to have a second version of WoW that is just a few years behind and eventually gets to Legion, BfA and Shadowlands in a few years? Or will there be a seperate game for every expansion now? I actually thought classic was supposed to be an eternal monument to vanilla WoW with no changes and just staying as it is forever.
Yeah I'm not on board with moving the whole classic base to TBC.The whole reason for Classic was.. well... CLASSIC.-_________-Don't ruin that with flying and all the other janky things that were added in TBC.
Oh, boy! Can't wait for my grandsons to play Shadowlands classic!Seriously, why this?
I love how much hate there is for classic servers and how people think it's stealing away from Shadowlands, etc.. Trust me if classic did not exist the numbers would of been down more and it would of been more staff on the chopping block. Your best bet for the future of WoW is to actually support the money they make to pay off their fancy people that sit in chairs or were all going to suffer and be screwed. It's how these Corporations work.
Just a few reasons people might want to play TBC Classic compared to Classic or Shadowlands:PvPArena (season 1-4)True diminishing returns and CC lasts <= 8 secondsResilience stat added to gearPvERaiding: World buff stacking no longer works-> people can actually play their character outside of raid time without fear of losing buffsDual Spec: Although initially a feature of Cataclysm, maybe it could be added to TBC to improve player experienceMore developed talent trees and hybrids start to shineHeroic Dungeons
I'd rather it be for a TBC anniversary event. It'll be 15 years in 2022 when it came out, so there is as much as a possibility of it being for that as it is for TBC Classic. I personally don't even want the latter to be made real as I'd rather have the devs spending time and resources onto the main game than creating these side projects. I'm sure someone will say "different teams!", but if they weren't even thinking of TBC classic being a real thing, then working on SL would be better.
