its 100% blizzard fault. Stop blaming players for pointing out these garbage systems that we have had for 4+ years now.
Looking at some of these as a healer is just...ugh. Feels like I have no choice now, and the things I have to take in order to get two potencies are so lackluster. There has to be a better way to limit potencies without completely gutting player options.
please just put the two mandatory potency ones on the non choice ones this is just getting so much worse
Even larger player power reductions, cool?
Only having 2 potency conduits is bad for DPS specs because one of the conduits will be used for AoE and the other will be used for single-target. I don't know how many AoE conduits other classes have but as a Sin Rogue I have exactly 1 choice in the form of Poisoned Katar and as a Kyrian the other will almost certainly be used to buff my covenant ability with Reverberation. This change will make cookie-cutter conduit choices happen easily.
I really wish Emeni's first potency conduit was after Ambulatory Flesh instead of Magnificent Skin. DDs don't benefit much from extra 5% max HP, unlike tanks, but would really benefit from staying mobile while casting the (absurdly long) Fleshcraft. Right now, choosing between mobility and damage is just plain terrible. Necrolords are not that attractive as a covenant per se, especially for the class that I play (DK), having at least one great soulbind would at least make the choice towards this covenant not as bitter.
Why? this way it's not limited to 2 potency conduits instead of 3... in most cases it's just 1 if we don't want to miss soulbind abilites like "plaguey's preemptive strike"
I don't get why they wouldn't just put the two potency conduits in the obligatory path for each soul bind, and then put one row in defense and one in finesse so that we have one of each and two of dps increase and call it a day. Sure, since we have to increase our renoun to progress further down, we would loose on some dps increase, but that's something easily fixable with a renoun rework for soulbinds. With this kind of change, we would have a true talent tree, and not a "if you want your potency conduit, please select this talent" kind of deal.
Doesnt work by logic for me.Lets say Class A, B.and C with conduits of various effects that increase powerClass A have a +2%, +3% +5% and +8% potency conduits to placeClass B have+2% +3% +6% +7%Class C have+1% +1% +7% +7%With 3 potency conduits all Class A players would chose the 3 best conduits same for B and C. and if they have only 2 good conduits they will have to pick a soulbind with one good passive for the spec they play (example dreamweaver for Rdruids with the overheal to shield) ORChose a leftover conduit they like.so they will have choices. With only potency 2 conduits, they will have no possibility to consider a passive or a spare potency conduit: They will HAVE to pick the 2 conduits.3 conduits: class A -> covenant's soulbind have atractive passive for ibut must pick 2 potency and have choice to pick a passive or 3rd potencyclass B -> sameClass C -> will be able to place its important conduits and have a choice of passive from soulbind2 potency conduit:Class A: Will skip passive and pick 2 potency conduit slotClass B: sameClass C: Same cuz it absolutely need itWhew... what a choice!BLIZZZ, CMON, REVERT PLEASE!
we wouldn't want anyone's character choices matter in terms of performance, right? so insetad let's condense it down to the point where havint it or not won't make any difference. The 2 potency conduit system is so rigid that it's pointless to even have. Most classes have 2 must-have throughput conduits so they are set in stone, and then you go down the path that doesn't have the "wtf who thought of this nonsense" perk on it like less item degredation. way to go blizz, even after 15 you've proven that you can still mediocre with the best of them.
"we will balance the system, don't worry"Yes, nerfing everything to the ground (or overly homogenizing as in this case)
