Elune goddess of light and shadow, void lords are not evil, they are being lied to. WoW that is alot but the ELune part seems obvious, she is Light but also gave night warriors dark powers.
This is probably the most spoilery and significant bit of datamining I've ever seen in terms of a long-reaching story hook and I'm surprised at how excited I am to see this all pan out - if it is indeed going to end up being relevant, and not just another Rommath/Maraad situation. The writer definitely feels like a dreadlord, and they always seemed like they knew more about the nature of reality than even the titans, so I can easily believe them being this dastardly. And yet, it doesn't seem to mention the First Ones, at all..
Man, I &*!@in' called it after the Bastion: Afterlives trailer. The Dreadlords have been in on this plan for forever! And that does make Lothraxxion more interesting; if the Dreadlords only true allegiance is to their master and each other, without caring about whether they use the Light or the Fel, that would mean 'ol Loth being Light-aligned wouldn't prevent him from working with his old brethren. It also makes them more interesting: much like the Alliance and the Horde has heroes and soldiers aligned to all the cosmic orders, it seems the Dreadlords are also willing to use any type of magic to fulfill their goals (though they seem to be most closely aligned to Death).Mad respect for the vampire bastards.
So the idea that the Dreadlords are Venthyr twisted is probably true. If the "God of Death" as it were is the agent behind empowering the Jailer, it makes sense its first goal would be to infiltrate the other Planes and ensure that its plans cannot be foiled easily. After all, it was a Nathrezim who planted the seed of the Void Lords in Sargeras' head when he discovered a tainted World-Soul. It was then a Nathrezim who 'stole' Frostmourne and the Helm of Domination for the Burning Legion. It was a Nathrezim who helped guide Arthas as the Lich King. Etc.Seems the Nathrezim are not demons but some other entity working behind the scenes to manipulate all factions so that the Plane of Death can become the dominant Plane.
That's a very interesting perspective to say the least. I am really looking forward to see the outcome of this!
"The vassal of life disguises treachery. Beware the eyes of green."This whisper seems to tie in with the page relating to the forces of life.
I'm amazed at how blizz is writing all this. They put hints all over the game for people to discover and some of it just unravel years later. That's just insanely creative.
My guess is that this is a report to Sire Denathrius from a dreadlord
This is a real bomb, nathrezim must haved had an important role in the expansion.I mean: castle nathria, sire denathrius (who looks like a nathrezim himself).
This is going to be big!
My biggest fear is this will be one of those one patch twists rather than the next three or four expansions it could potentially be part ofThis book doesn't even seem to mention the First Ones so it's not even the only cosmic mystery
Dreadlords being dreadlords. Even light one is fake, funny
What do you mean Jailer, Sire and nathrezim look almost the same? Whaaaa?
