Actually I wonder if some people learn any history or read any books at all O.oOn the one hand I usually agree that Blizz writing quality a tad bit in the descending, yea pretty mediocre. But it's a pulp fantasy not an epic saga or the Silmarils. And not a bad one for that.Basically not that difficult setting (color coded for the meek minded - "goodies" are blue / "baddies" are red), in the beginning they were vanilla stereotypical antagonist and protagonists and easy-to-understand conflicts and solutions. With the sophistication of Hulk. And of course there are (were / will be) those pesky self-inserts and OTPs and other biases as well.On the other hand the constant whining about this or that directions are mind-numbing at best. The self-proclaimed representatives of the Alliance and the Horde screaming around the forums, this site, other sites and evangelizing the One©True©Pure©Opinion© of the whole gaming community, because they know better.Meanwhile the settings changing, characters are changing (developing) and some directions are disheartening, other are well-recieved.Thrall was a blindly naive idealist; Garrosh was a racist pig with daddy issues and a Napoleon complex; Sylvanas is a warmongering neurotic populist-opportunist; Jaina, Tyrande and Greymane are giref-stricken radical fanatics; Anduin is the virgin groom before the wedding night, never knows where is the face forward direction (and he has daddy issues and inferior complex as well)… nobody is perfect, not in the least.Boring? Sometimes. You don't like it? Probably. But you are just the customer, game design still not a democratic process.Personally I've liked Voss' "FU all, I don't need this" demeanor.Personally I find Calia's "another deer-eyed where is my nose" characterization is boring.Personally I think that some of you just come here (or any other places) to vent out personal frustration. And that's okay, just do it, you're welcome, here is a hug <3Now go back and play and check the shop while you're at it, because daddy Kotick needs a new boot… sorry, boat!(but please, pretty please with cherry on top, stop assuming and pretending that you represent the Horde, the Alliance, the Players or anything else than your itsy-bitsy self, thank you & kisses)
ah yes, Calia somehow ends up on Horde council... as many have pointed out, Calia has ZERO experience, training, knowledge or anything of value for the horde. And on to that: she is furthest thing from a horde characterbefore she ran away from lordearon and abandoned her people, she was never trained or taught in the ways of diplomacy, leadership, council... nothing. Arthas got that attention and training while Calia had nothing. Then she ran away and hid for all those years doing nothing. Then she showed up in Arathi and caused all the deaths, real smart move that, and was lucky a naaru was around, i.e. blizzard retconning lore to fit garbage story like thisso ya, she has NOTHING to offer the horde council and it is baffling Blizzard even have her near the horde council and that said leaders just readily accept her -__-as for forsaken, well enough has been said about how she also has NOTHING to offer to them, no guidance/council/healing/help/w.e as calia is the literal anti-thesis of the forsaken in EVERY possible way: method of revival, looks, powers, no pain, no suffering, no rejection of any kind... nothing at all. yet blizzard are writing how Calia was the one who "helped" the undead kaldorei? how? using what experience/knowledge? if calia barely knows anything about the forsaken, she knows even LESS about the night elves... yet danuser wants us to just accept she "helped them" -_- also Blizzard is doing the same stupid thing of just saying "oh ya this character is super special awesome and doing all these things" but never actually showing said character doing anything: terrible writing...though I'm sure even they would have a hard time writing a remotely believable way Calia was able to "help/guide" the undead kaldorei, that's how bad this character is
Anyone else get really bored by the sheer predictability of the parings?Oh... I am a Tauren maiden. I obviously like the single male Tauren.Oh... I am a human soldier. Humans for me!You're the leader of the Blood elves? Excellent! I too am a horde elven leader - let us keep our elven blood pure... together.(etc).Since Thrall there seems to be this weird emphasis on no one finding love across the races (with a single notable exception of a gnome and a goblin)
