I’m glad to see the Blizzard employees recognizing the value of coming together in solidarity. I wish them great success in securing better working conditions and compensation.
good on them.
If they manage to organise and achieve results, that may be good news for the whole industry, it seems. The devs and other staff definitely deserve the best for the fun they give us.
It would make me very happy to see people who have worked on games I have loved all my life to be the first in the gaming industry to start unionizing. Good luck to you all.
Hold on, I'm getting a vision of the future. That's... yep, that's definitely another round of layoffs.

Dear Blizzard employees,The community stands with you in your effort for fair pay (and some basic decency around the workplace, including amenities to make working there better), one solid way we can help you with this?Conduct an employee wide strike at the doorstep of Blizzard Entertainment offices for as long as it takes to get what you need. With the lack of development going on, the gaming community will be up in arms about lack of content, patches, and new games being released and will then start to question Blizzard's motives for not producing.Let us help you by doing this.Strength in numbers. Let's go!
Can you imagine, they would just strike and push Shadowlands into 2021?I would cry tears of joy for all that lost shareholder value. The Investors would kick koticks balls for mistreating talent so much that it came to that.Let the senior management program and design those f-ing games if they believe they deserve so much money of of them
"We will continue to adapt our compensation to build and keep the workforce our company needs today and tomorrow"Haha. We all know all theyll do is give them more honor points and no pay rise. Actiblizz are scum sometimes. I really hope the employees can get something good going for them.
Wish them the best. Solidarity.
Worst thing that happens to gameworld is Bobbi Cotick and Chinese games. It's shame for billionaire company to have underpayed works, which still delivers good game. Yes, BFA sucks ass and Shadowlands will too, but even if Wow is bad, there's no better game than Wow (and FFXIV, sorry, I like this one).
There alot to discuss here, not just about pay below the level needed in an area, but also the problem of how these areas ended up being so expensive. We hae the same problem with London and its lead to a deep level of anamosity towards London as well as anamosity amongst native Londoners them selves that are priced out of there birth city.Alot of people have very brain dead thinking when it comes to this sort of thing and immediately go for the more pay solution when the real root problem is people being forced to live in a place for work where the cost of living has spiraled way out of line with the national averedge.Where I work us and the company came to a win / win solution to this very problem that dosnt impact company profit and let's it keep growing but also gives us employee's more spending power, and that was to move the company from London to the North where the cost of living is less than half, this easentialy doubled every ones wages without spending an extra penny on wages, and as most of us came from the North to London reluctantly to find work it ment we could actually be back in our own home land as non of us liked being in the south any way.
