I don't think they will add tokens for EU / US realms. They categorically said they would not do in an interview shortly before the launch of WoW Classic. In China, however, WoW is run by a different company that gets to decide things like this independently from Blizzard. That being said, if they do add tokens to WoW Classic, I will probably end up flipping on dozens of classic realms. Goldmaking on Classic can be rather easy, especially if you do it on multiple realms.— BilisOnyxia (@BilisOnyxia) February 28, 2020

[WoW Token] item added to the 1.13.4 PTR Client ☹️ (this does not mean its coming to NA/EU BTW) pic.twitter.com/ub9bgIkfaR— MrGM (@MrGMYT) February 28, 2020

I personally don't think they will add the WoW token for Classic in NA/EU. The market in China is just so different that it doesn't surprise me it released there. The backlash would be so great I don't think even Blizzard will be that dumb. While I wouldn't put it past it to happen, I just highly doubt it will happen here in NA / EU.
The problem with the WoW token in Classic would be, that it would need a totally different value compared to retail. And if it is way easier to get the gold to buy a token in classic, it might have some pretty unintended results for the player base. Farming in Classic is just so much different than farming in Retail. But in the end it would probably even out a bit, so the token prize for retail would drop, which wouldn't be a bad thing in itself.
Pretty sure this is never going to happen. But it's more likely than people might think, I reckon. There were posts on the US forums asking for tokens to be added before any of this kicked off. Guaranteed: If too many people buy gold from gold makers in Classic EU / NA, then Blizzard will bring the token to Classic EU / NA. And it won't be Blizzard's fault, it will be the fault of those who bought the gold. The game will just become the kind of game people are actually playing, not the kind of game a few on the forums say it should be. And it would be a rotten shame. I think buying gold on classic should remain a "crime" as so much of the entire point of classic is the "what I've got was tough to get" model. If you feel like you need to buy gold, play retail.
i bet blizzard is trolling us, when it goes extinct in shadowlands it will be on a new vendor as a spectral bruto for gold cap lol
multiboxing is cheating
"For the players who want the true classic experienc....... ooof nevermind, we need money cause BFA was such a trainwreck. Here's tokens for Classic"
That's what ppl think, i'm pretty sure that blizzard still handles the market value. cuz its business. They let ppl believe that there is a certain " free market " but its just not true. sry but its how it is. The current Boost business is way to huge. Blizzard will always calculate their cut. This means that Blizzard will handle the token prize. trust me! they do 100%. I played this game way to long and i saw alot things that are actually not true in the end. I'm pretty sure that in classic the Gold RMT is huge again. So blizzard will make their cut. By manipulating the Token price. China is one of the biggest Markets, alot of Investor's are from China. it makes totally sense to implement a token system to accumulate more Money. I studied Math and i have a good knowledge about Marketing Statistics etc.... :)
I always wondered about those advertising in Trade Chat for Mythic+ & Raid carries, if it was allowable or not. Guess so long as you are doing it with gold, no harm no foul. Seems to be a good way to get some of the more difficult Mounts, Toys, Pets, or Titles for some who may not be that hardcore and are a bit more casual. I know that some of the mounts seem pretty neat for the harder to get achievements. I just look at them though as the badge for that person / group for what they received for doing something more advanced or difficult.Blizzard could really probably make a pretty penny if they just put those items as available in the store for purchase. That way those that have the ability to get them through play, do so for free. For those that do not have that ability based on Time / Skill / Etc... can purchase for real $ if they see something they would like but do not have the immediate ability to get. Everyone wins.
But what this Qyune's guy did to get the gold for brutosaur in his challenge, gather herbs and ores or what?
