I definitely think that RareTrackerVale and RareTrackerUldum are worth a mention, as they work just like RareCoordinator for those of us who played back in MoP. Using them alongside HandyNotes/TomCat's has been super helpful so far!
I use BigWigs instead of DBM personally.
Last I check NPCScan and Silver Dragon were outdated but even if they weren't Rarescanner is 100% better and comes with loads of extra features. TomTom should also be on that list since it goes and in hand with all 3 scanner.
I need to set up my addon's to give me a huge notice that my corruption is low. Last night I stupidly pulled the next pack with low corruption. Really wish the orbs can be used in combat.
addon Called RareShare with the plugins for vale and uldum should have been on that list. the addon gives a button that pops up to announce to general chat(with name hp% and coords) when a rare is targetted and it announces to others with the addon when a rare is found aswell(it also has plugin for mechagon and nazjatar)
I would add Rare Share to this list. It announces in local chat any rares you spot with a single click. Posts rare's name, location coordinates and health percentage. Here are separate Curse Forge links for Uldum and Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Also available on Twitch client.Links to Nazjatar and Mechagon versions
NPCScan also supports vignette detection on the minimap and has since Mists of Pandaria. Should be mentioned in this article IMO; seems to imply that it doesn't.
My problem with TomCat Tours and similar addons is that they make the rare markers on the map so $%^&ing big. They take up too much space for no reason.

Tomcat Tours is fantastic for the rares, and even the event stuff. I think it's going to mostly replace my handy notes.
I have always wondered why the function of the wowhead client isn't just incorporated into Twitch.
The Handynotes addon only works after you unlock each zone, which is a shame for Uldum because it's unlocked for everybody-- even L110 class trials.
I wish NPCScan would work -- I'd love to add Friendly Alpaca as a "rare" so it can be spotted for me so I don't have to constantly click on my target macro. OR I wish RareScanner would put in the ability to add your own NPCs.
Seems like Wowhead's staff may be a bit behind the times regarding addons for rares, according to the comments.
It isn't a vignette rare (no star) so no addons can find it that way. NPCscan can still scan nameplates, though.
