Omar was most surprised and excited when the developers first got the World actually running. Seeing the spawn of creatures in the correct places and seeing the old world, before the Cataclysm was a big moment for the team. As discussed in the Blizzcon 2018 Panel, when they imported the 1.12 Data into the modern client, a lot of Spawn locations were way off, correcting that was something Omar enjoyed seeing.

On Fridays, the Development team would get together and do playtest sessions, just to see the world and interact with things. During these test experiences, they would also look at the reference client, ensuring things were accurate. During a run in the Deadmines, Omar was playing a Warlock, and even when the team wiped, they didn't feel it was detrimental, because of how much fun they were having.

Some of Omar's favorite memories from Vanilla was when his guild was running Molten Core. After a difficult wipe, him and others in his Guild would meet up at a Diner and have a late night meal, strategizing their next attempt, using Syrup containers and sugar packets as the Boss and Adds, like a tabletop game.

In 2004, Omar played Holy Paladin, this time around he is interested in seeing the other faction, Horde. This time around, Omar will play as a Shaman, but isn't quite sure of what Race he wants to play.
