There are things that I do not need to come back, like looting only one corpse at once or traveling long distances by foot until level 40 (I still hate travelling long distances with a 310 % flying mount ... such a time sink!). But what I really enjoyed was wall jumping. Old Ironforge, Ironforge airport, Hyjal, old Uldum, ...There were surely some moments in classic that I have positive remindings of, like needing a full saturday in a group with 4 other people in a TeamSpeak2 session to clear BRD, learning to kite in UBRS, downing Onyxia or the first Zul'Gurub boss and establish other good contacts.
"items that you get in Classic WoW will not be transmoggable by your characters in Modern WoW" good!
Wonder how hard it would be to make 40man raids. Can't imagine how it was back in the days.
good interview
Still really concerned about that sharding... Ion Hazzikostas did gave a good reason for it, but what if Blizzard decides to reuse it even later on ?And even then, taking out the iconical part where all the level 1 gnomes and dwarves fight over one poor trogg spawn just seems wrong.I'd prefer the sharding technology to simply not be added in the Classic data at all.
2 years of development vanilla wow
AYAYA
Aww no tmog transfer from classic to modern :/
I wonder if blizzard realizes that sharping will kill classic before it even comes out.
They just talked about that in a Q&A yesterday night, it won't be any sharding on the live classic. They only used it on the demo to avoid the servers going meltdown
Vanilla WoW was a whole parallel universe. The pace of the game play was, in comparison to today's WoW, snail's pace! It was wonderful. Every tiny progression was a massive achievement. It is not a world for those looking for instant gratification.I am really looking forward to taking my foot off the gas and chilling in Classic :)
omg, no wall jumping! :POn a more serious note: looking forward to the old skool raids!
I'll for a wotlk version.
no walljumping :(
It will be good to see that PVP is a part of the PVE again. A tip for new players to the world of Classic Vanilla is that at lvl 60 you can get Epic weapons by reaching certain Pvp Levels and rep with AV. A huge help for gearing for raiding!
