The most I ever spent on a single item was about 180k on the Ghastly Charger mount back in Warlords. I'm a bit stingey on spending goold, but hopefully I'll be shattering that record soon when I buy the 2mil Spider mount. Maybe someday I'll be able to afford a Spectral Tiger.
WHAT u actually use gold in the ahi only sell stuffthen buy wow tokens;)
I think it was BoE trinket at the start of Draenor - Copeland's Clarity. It cost was like ~200k. Also sometimes i buy wow tokens.
Six Feather Fan, payed like 170k for a 860 one at start of the expac
Individual purchase was a crafted legendary to resell as it was below market
My most expensive AH purchases have been battle pets and mounts... I bought some gear a while ago, back in BC but it was like over 1k gold, but that was a lot back then!
most expensive... i remember buying the swift spectral tiger for 350k back in cataclysm which was a lot back then
I purchased Garn Nighthowl from AH for 25k before it was on serious farm status in WoD other then that I guess purchasing enchanting mats to lvl up my alts before the WoD and Legion changes.
I've bought some tcg pets and some mounts as i recall, but most pricy one was ethereal soul trader pet. Yet my gold destroyer is Wow token nowadays :)
I wish I could remember the exact item, it was years ago, but it was a tailoring pattern that was no longer available via normal gameplay. I'd been trying to complete my list of patterns, but I found out some had been removed. Then, I found one on the AH for 750k and spent the next 8 hours begging everyone in my guild to pitch in so I could buy it, which I did. I wish I could pull up a history to find out exactly which pattern it was.
The most expensive item I’ve ever bought in the AH is probably the Phiole der Sande. I paid about 50k for it.I’ve made other large bulk related purchases. The most recent example was dumping 100k on heirlooms and heirloom upgrades. But from the AH, that’s the biggest purchase I’ve made.
I don't buy that much on the AH since I tend to grind most things myself, like the recipe/ingredients for Phiole der Sande. According to my TSM the most expensive thing I bought on the AH (not counting tokens) is a Taschenteufelskondensator for exactly 10399g 99s 98c apparently :p I guess I got tired of the farming.
Most expensive thing i ever bought is propably Minion of Grumpus for like 80k :D i usualy get all this stuff by myself but if BMAH counts i spent there like 600k on tabard
Ma chicken Magisches Hühnerei, 300k before the prices started to raise on wod.
I think the most expensive thing I bought was the Swift Spectral Tiger mount back in 4.1 Cataclysm. Still one of my favorite mounts!
I bought a Magic Rooster for 365k back in WoD. It was a steal at that price, and I should have resold it, but I really wanted a magic chicken to ride around on. Best investment ever.
My most expensive non-token purchase was a Sky Golem. Even though it is ugly and I hate the way it flies, it made herbing so much easier. Definitely worth it. Wish they would make a mount for mining too.
My most expensive purchase off of the AH was a mount, the X-51 Nether Rocket Extreme, which I got for about 325k. They go for several million gold each these days, but back during WoD and the heyday of gold making via an alt army with their garrisons, those TCG mounts were typically in the 250-350k range, so I got several of them. The X-51 was the most expensive, and it works really well for smaller races, like gnomes, goblins, and dwarves.
It was Wappenrock des Lichtbringers some years ago. I bought it for 250.000g...
At the beginning of the xpac I thought Bear Tar-Tar would be critical for Mythic+ farming. I didn't have the ability to create it efficiently yet, so I bought all the cheap food I could find on the AH. That assumption ended up being a bust, and hundreds of thousands of gold of Bear Tar-Tar ended up being worth tens of thousands.
