Sililthus. The bug infested hell hole I have managed to avoid for at least 10 years rears it's ugly head at me once again. *shudder*
You won't get any pets or collectibles(I assume this means any mount as well) from what I understand so no. I understand why because it's a very short event and people might just completely miss it. Well have to see if they do any last minute changes however.
This reward isn't for NOW. This reward was for people who did it the first time, in Vanilla WoW.
With all the faction imba across most realms how is this going to be a fair contest!
I would love the idea if you could obtain the Scarab title.
No thanks. Obviously Blizzard has rose-colored glasses when looking back on this event.
Eh... I don't know. What are even the level requirements? Level 110 mobs doesn't tell me I need to be level 110. Can a level 1 join or is this for 110s only.Furthermore, I'll be super mad if those "new items" will be the only way to add twilight cultist gear to your wardrobe;I complained about the missing wardrobe items since the first day wardrobe was launched.I have twilight cultist set stored in my bank. Why the hell should I re-obtain them, just to add them to the wardrobe. Seems like Blizzard is going back on their words when they claimed that the wardrobe system would be a 1-time thing; Once you have the item and you equip it, it's added to the wardrobe. But nope, never happened. And I'm quite certain I will have to get those damn twilight parts again because my current ones wont count. >:(
if this is pvp based the horde on Velen/Eonar stand no chance since we are severely out numbered
Good question! - I'm interested in the answer too
so does this mean we have a chance to get the legendary mount again?
Well we all know it will be the horde flag on the Thrall-US server.....since it is 90% horde !
To everyone complaining about the lack of substance in this event or that it reminds them of repressed memories with the war effort and AQ. Do you all realize that the game director, Ion Hazzikostas, was a scarab lord? If anything this event is just his way of bringing back to WoW one of his crowning achievements during vanilla. And I think it's awesome. I would personally love to re-experience anything AQ since I was very limited in what I did with vanilla WoW since I was only in 8th to 10th grade at the time (curfew, parents, school, sports, etc). I welcome this kind of addition to the game since it allows a portion of what some of us who want blizzard to release (legacy servers). I really foresee myself going full neckbeard during these days just to get the feel of vanilla back again.Damn shame that blizzard removed the AQ scepter quest line entirely with the cataclysm revamp. Even though I know that the chance of earning the mount ended years prior (barring exploiting new servers in early wrath), it would have been fun to take part in the long grind that so many dedicated players before me undertook. Again I'm so happy that blizzard is finally putting things back into the game that were unfortunately removed by some of their (in my opinion) poorer quality expansions (cata and WoD).
To Prassasin,No never. The current game director would never give what he rightfully earned long ago to the current population of subscribers. I don't mean that as an insult or to praise him but the average player during vanilla WoW is far removed from what the average player is today not mention removed from Blizzard's target audience. To give current players such a reward would only dilute the effort of those who struggled back then. Just consider that legendary mount as removed from the game, for practically almost all players. The only recent chance you could have earned it was if you server changed during very early wrath to take advantage of new realms that hadn't had their AQ gates opened yet (the war effort was flagged as complete at the time, I believe). You will never get it not unless you have a time machine or Blizzard releases legacy servers.
I'm sure that loads of people will enjoy the micro-holidays, but I feel much more like this is a "Why bother?" thing. I mean, they've spent hours of coding after coming up with cute ideas for fun new things to add to the old world, but they're not willing to toss us a transmog hat or something because then it will feel like we "have" to do it ?I don't think the players feel they "have" to do anything they don't want to. Not even for a hat. But, I mean, when they take the time to do all of this, and don't even make it as special as Talk Like a Pirate Day, then it just feels like a waste of time they could have been coding something else.I mean, hey, my garrisons could still use more holiday-themed decorations. And I have a lot of empty space in there. How about a micro-event that rewards me with a Jacuzzi or something in my garrison ?Or just buck up, and give us a transmog hat. Nobody will feel they "have" to do it. They'll do it or they won't. We aren't asking for it to reward us with Legion flying or something. Just one more transmog to add to our thousands of transmogs. Or a toybox item that does NOTHING useful except make us feel like our time spent doing the random thing you've added actually gave us something for your collection. Or, hey, how about just a basic reskin of an existing pet. Or, go absolutely crazy, and give us all three. You're already making the events. Why actually go out of your way to not only make them meaningless, but to even point out that they're meaningless on purpose so that we don't have to do them ?
Ugh, I was there for the original. No, thank you. The whole AQ buildup was much more suited to people who enjoy PvP content, and that's just not me. If they're going to revisit old content, it should be stuff like the (now unavailable) questline where you had to learn the Draconic language. Now that was fun, but the original was so buggy I never got to finish it.
ya i ermeber when death knights open the gate -.-
