My understanding of Arcane's DPS issue is that they can put out insane numbers for a phase then then have to regain mana, doing little to no damage, thus killing their sustained DPS.Mages are also the only class where with two DPS specs below 20k DPS according to State of DPS's adjusted totals for the top 200 25-man normals. The top third of DPS specs are within 2k of each other. The middle third of DPS specs are within 1k of each other, but 3k behind the top. The bottom third are 3k apart from each other, and this puts Arcane and Frost Mages 6k DPS behind the top of the pack.TL;DR - Arcane deserves this as much as Marks deserved it in 4.0.6.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the change to resurrections mean that a lone rezzer (druid with prowl preferably) could, in a battleground, sneak into the enemy base, have their team jump off a cliff, and rez everyone inside?
Bleh, more bandaid fixes for Arcane.
Actually the sound doesn't come from the chakra state, but from the base chakra, that already lasts until cancelled. The only thing lasting longer now are the chakra states themselves (which make no sound, just a nice pattern around the priest) which you had to reactivate every minute, which was freakin annoying. If you hear the sound, tell your healer to use up their %^&*ing chakra or activate it shortly before using it up since it's not on the GCD anyway....It's what I do since I've played a holy priest myself. :x
