We continue our Mists of Pandaria class previews with a look at
Schurke
s today. Blizzard has stated in the past that they are quite happy with Rogue core mechanics, resources, and niche specialties, but there are still some interesting changes. Most notably, poisons have been extensively reworked and rogues bring more raid buffs than in the past.
There was a very minor beta patch today, so we've put the spell changes under the cut!

Schattenklingen
: Autoattacks deal pure Shadow damage. Combo-point-generating attacks generate 1 additional combo point.
Blutroter Sturm
: Finishing move that consumes combo points on any nearby target to slash at the flesh of all enemies within 8 yards, dealing Physical damage and causing victims to bleed and suffer an additional 30% of the initial damage over 12 sec.
Poisons
Poisons have been reworked extensively in Mists of Pandaria. You do not buy poisons from vendors anymore and apply one to each weapon. Instead, poisons are a type of spell and have been classified as
Lethal
(damage dealing) and
Non-Lethal
(utility). You may have one poison of each type active at the same time.
Lethal Poisons:
Wundgift
: Each weapon strike has a chance of inflicting additional Nature damage to the victim and reducing all healing effects on them for 15 sec.
Tödliches Gift
: Each strike has a chance of causing the target to suffer Nature damage every 3 sec for 12 sec. Subsequent poison applications deal instant Nature damage.
Instant Poison
has been removed.
Non-Lethal Poisons:
Verkrüppelndes Gift
: Each strike has a chance of poisoning the enemy, slowing their movement speed by 50% for 12 sec.

: Each strike has a chance of poisoning the enemy, slowing their spellcasting by 50% for 10 sec.
Egelgift
: Weapon strikes have a chance to poison the target, causing the Rogue's subsequent weapon strikes to heal the Rogue for 10% of damage dealt.
: Each strike has a chance of poisoning the enemy for 15 sec. Stacks up to 5 times on a single target, and upon a fifth application, the enemy will be stunned for 4 seconds.
Using

with Non-Lethal Poisons creates "concentrated" effects:

: An intense application of Crippling Poison reduces the target's movement speed by 70% for 12 sec.
: Increases the time required to cast the next spell by 100%.
: Instantly restores 5% of the Rogue's health.
: Concentrated Paralytic Poison causes instant paralysis of an enemy's lower body, rooting them in place for 4 sec.
Abilities
Slow off-hands are now viable. All fast weapons are now changed to slower speeds on beta. Abilities like
