. So he wrote a large compilation of the lore background behind the Old Gods and other creatures and compares them to the real gods and goddesses of Nordic and antic cultures and mythologies. A good example is Brynhild, Brunnhilde/Brunnhildar which is a clear reference to Brunhild in the antic German tale, Das Nibelungenlied or The Song of the Nibelungs. This is just one of many references to the various stories of the old European cultures.
